Journalism

My whole life I have wondered what my personality, activities, and strengths would lead me into, meaning the career that I would love doing every day at work. Since I started talking, my parents new they would be hearing a lot of my voice, and after discovering that I loved to sing, that became even more true. Speaking in front of people recently has become one of my biggest interests. I find that using words to make a huge impact is something that I can use for the rest of my life, and it is truely amazing. A year ago when you would ask me what I wanted to do with my life in the work force, I would probably tell you that I wanted to become a college cheerleader and be in a sorority like my mom was, or that I loved selling things to people, so I could be in sales and marketing. It all changed and basically clicked for me this year when I took a television class at school. Always interested in editing videos and learning the ropes of journalism, I thought I would really enjoy a class that would allow me to do that. Not knowing what I was really getting into, it ended up being one of the best choices I have ever made. Having the opportunity to anchor for our monthly show, showed me that my strength was journalism, and along with being behind cameras, being in front of the camera was something I truely enjoyed. I now want to become a news anchor on a local station, or have the opportunity to travel and tell the world what is really going on.
