A Heart For Missions

Picture

You never really know how much the rest of the world is suffering, until you go out and experience their daily lives. Having so many incredible opportunities to go on mission trips has been such an eye opener to me, since I have always lived in the state of Arkansas. Believing in Christ, he has called us to go make disiples of ALL nations, and I feel as though if I have the opportunity to help other people and share a gift that is better than anything in this world, why not? This picture is from last summer in Belize. I am with some of the sweet girls who lived in the village we were in, painting our toes! Not ever having fingernail polish, they were amazed that you could do such a thing on your body. It was unbelievable to me that I even take fingernail polish for granted. I have gone on many incredible mission trips, but in Belize there was something that I got to do that really made an impact. Riding around in the big white bus we used, we delivered the basic food essentials a person would need for a week. Each little village we would pull up to, people reacted as if we had just given them a million dollars by simply giving them food for the next week. Without us, they may not have survived, it is simply incredible how blessed we are here in the United States, and how we take even our every day food for granted.
